    Hello Everyone, welcome to the Global Tasks blogspot, this time i am considering to cover up all the tasks those are related to AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services) in Windows Server 2012 R2.

    These all tasks will be covered in Virtually in VMware Workstation 12 pro with version 12.5.7. You can download all versions of VMware Workstation from given link below.

    *Download VMware Workstation with Licensed Key

    Now lets talk about requirements for Installation AD DS on Windows Server 2012 R2 Hardware/Software.

    • Host Machine with Minimum 4GB RAM.
    • Hard Drive up to you .
    • Host Machine Virtually Enabled (*How to Enable Virtualization on Host Machine).
    • VMware Installed.
    • Windows Server 2012 R2 Installed (*How to Install Windows Server 2012 R2).
    Now move towards Installation and Configurations of  AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services) on Windows Server 2012 R2.

    • Server Manager --> Add roles and features --> Next --> Select Role-based or feature-based installation (Next) --> Select Server (Next) --> Check [Active Directory Domain Services] --> Click on Add Features "Pop up window" (Next) --> Next --> Next --> Install. -->
    Click on Blue Text "Promote this server to a Domain controller", Now we moving towards Configurations of AD DS on Windows Server 2012 R2.

    • Select "Add a new forest".
    • Enter Domain Name eg "globaltasks.com" --> Next --> Enter DSRM Password --> Next --> Next --> Next --> Next --> Next --> Install.
    •  Restart your Machine.
    Now you can manage AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services) through "Tools" right most top, or you can go from right side of Server Manager Dashboard where you can see "AD DS" link, click on it than right click on Server and go for "Active Directory Users and Computers".
